Encryption
Fortress IAM employs the latest in data encryption technology to secure your information. We use industry standard TLS encryption and always transmit your data via HTTPS. Your browser’s address bar will show you a padlock symbol to indicate your encrypted connection during your visit to app.fortressiam.com. Fortress IAM also uses Amazon RDS database and encrypts data at rest.
Real-time protection
Our cloud based platform is hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS) and follows the highest global security standards. All customer data is housed in the AWS Canada data center. In the future, we will offer hosting options in other countries to meet data residency requirements.
Fortress IAM performs regular backups of the database and file cloud storage to ensure customer data is accessible at all times. Our team follows secure software development practices including mandatory code reviews on all changes and internal security consultations on all technical aspects.
Security features of the platform
Two-step verification, also known as two-factor authentication (2FA) or multi-factor authentication (MFA), is an optional feature that employs one-time-use SMS codes to verify your identity when signing into the platform
Fortress IAM supports role-based permission levels which enables you to restrict access to certain information stored within your company’s account
Fortress requires a strong password to be set on all user accounts
Short-lived sessions, requiring re-authentication after periods of inactivity, ensuring user-data remains secure
